What a proud moment for the Indian Cricket team !
Congratulations India for a well deserved victory.
Infact the last few matches that India played have been some of the best cricketing victories.
It all started with the match against England, followed by a fantastic win against South Africa (completely eliminating them from the world cup) and then the much talked about victory over Australia.
India truly deserved to lift the world cup! Congratulations Team India !

Yes, it's great indeed that we won, but don't u think the amount of money that has been gifted to the players is a little too much? I'm sure they could be better used in improving other sports.
Also I heard that the hockey team won the Asia Cup and there wasn't any recognition for that at all...Why this bias towards cricket?
Lets not take away the credit that Indian cricket team won the world cup !
Totally agree that other sports are not getting any recongnition. Considering hockey is our National game, it is sad that there is so little coverage.
But I think its people themseleves responsible for this state of affairs ... the craze around cricket is ridiculous and media / sponsors only cash on these sentiments
